Job Abstract

Under supervision, the Assistant Volleyball Coach supports the head coach in coaching, operations, recruiting, and fundraising. Must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a specified sport. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Post University is a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member. Work Location: Waterbury, CT Anticipated Start: August 2024 Compensation: Stipend (10 months)Hours: At least 20 hours per week (additional hours expected on busier weeks)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Input compliance information into Frontrush software. Assist the head coach in scouting opponents. This position requires the ability to break down and evaluate film through Hudl. Supports a positive and competitive team environment. Be involved in on-campus recruiting visits. Assists with community service initiatives and program fundraising efforts. Performs other duties as assigned; may have other duties assigned in the athletic department as needed. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of NCAA Division I/ II rules. Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. A valid U.S. driver's license. Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and be fully admitted into one of Post University's graduate programs. Candidate should have playing experience at the NCAA level. Required to work at least 20 hours per week during the academic school year based on the credit hours attempted.
