As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for all maintenance-related tasks. This role must resolve service calls by assisting in prepping, delivering, installing, and maintaining tanks. The technician must ride with the drivers to assist in delivering tanks and pulling hoses. This role is also responsible for handling internal maintenance and filling out work orders accordingly.

Monday through Friday, 6AM to 4PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, although other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Complete all maintenance-related tasks, including consignments
  • Help prepare, deliver, install, and maintain all home heating oil and commercial tanks
  • Ride with other technicians to help deliver tanks and other various parts
  • Occasionally ride with the tang wagon drivers to assist in hose pulling
  • Complete any internal maintenance requested by employees, including bulk plants
  • Fill out work orders accordingly

Requirements, Competencies and Certifications

  • Effectively uses time; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change and keeps others informed of progress.
  • Great organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask and to “do what it takes” to get the job done.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge of the oil/fuel industry.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: One year experience in fuel industry, mechanics, or related field preferred
