Role Summary:
As a BD Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding ManTech’s footprint in the Financial Management practice, with a keen focus on Digital Transformation. The Financial Management BD Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for creating a multi-year FM Practice Business development plan, identifying those opportunities, and seeing through to award. ManTech’s Digital Transformation Division delivers digital transformation solution and consulting services to the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and Intelligence communities. We deliver our solutions in an Agile approach that focuses on measurable return on investments. Our solutions integrate subject matter and domain expertise with market leading technology platforms and formal delivery models refined over multiple successful implementations and informed by best practices. Our Financial Management practice is an established provider of FM solutions and a market leader in the use of corporate performance management platforms in the federal market space.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities in support of the FM practices’ business development (BD) objectives
Produce new account revenue in line with current organization and individual targets/quotas. Develop departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles, a grasp of financial management concepts and issues, and has had experience leading BD efforts in the federal markets space
Work with ManTech’s Digital Transformation Division team members to support program strategies, account/business (practice) plans, conduct program reviews and customer assessments, and build and maintain relationships with external and internal customers;
External customers include, but are not limited to, DoD and Federal Government Chief Financial Officers (CFO), Budget Directors, Financial Systems Directors, and Accounting/Audit Directors;
Support all phases of customer relationships, business development, and proposals with emphasis on identification, qualification, and capture phases;
Identify and qualify prospective teaming partners;
Develop and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
Basic Qualifications:
4 years overall experience, with a minimum 3 years of military or civil service experience
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated success in sales or business development in FedCiv markets, with strong business acumen and experience with government contracting processes.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of client seniority.
Proven track record of leading and executing account management for large, complex captures.
Willingness to travel as needed to achieve mission objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
