In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates. You will collaborate with subcontractors and vendors and develop market bid leveling analysis documents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs
- Develops accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages
- Develops associated scope of work clarifications and requests for information (RFI’s)
- Develops market bid leveling analysis documents
- Participates in estimate review meetings
- Assists with Subcontractor and Vendor solicitation and relationships
- Contributes to cost savings exercises
- Collaborates with the Preconstruction Team
- Collaborates with designers and clients and assists the project operations team
- Participates in Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings
- Participates in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs
- Follows project construction costs and market trends
- Other duties which may be assigned as needed
- Travel as required - 10%
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent, with 3 years relevant experience. No degree, 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including the utilization of Microsoft Office software
- Detail and deadline driven

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
