Job Description

Join our Legal, Compliance and Audit (LC&A) operations team in our Jersey City, NJ headquarters where we have a flexible hybrid work model.

Review, negotiate and draft contracts and standardized templates pertaining to new products, license agreements, product supplements, new master agreements, renewal amendments, statements of work, security addendums, etc.
Effectively partner with the Law department, product owners and subject matter experts to ensure successful negotiations, resulting in effective agreements which have properly mitigated risk.
Identify incoming client contracts to quality check and ensure that all approvals are in place prior to final execution.
Manage relationships with Sales, product owners, business units, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance, Audit, Claims Senior Leadership and others to implement and/or improve contracting workflows, including processing and tracking contracts within CRM and CLM.
Ad-hoc projects as assigned
Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; JD degree strongly preferred
3-5 years experience with contract management including drafting, revising and negotiating
Solid understanding of contract law, contract language and principles, and applicable legislation
Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and corporate data risk contract terms strongly preferred
Ability to work in a collaborative environment while independently managing a large workload
Ability to work proactively with other business units
Ability to communicate with the internal client independently (email/conference calls)
Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
Strong organization, effective planning, problem solving, and analytical skills required
Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to liaise comfortably with all levels of management
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations or urgent requests that may arise with little or no notice
Must exhibit initiative and assertiveness in obtaining information needed to proceed with projects and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
