This full-time, evening shift role involves 24-hour accountability for operational management, supervising and supporting the nursing staff, and assisting the Director in implementing performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director Emergency Department include aligning staffing with patient volume and budget, maintaining clinical leadership, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting nurse development through evidence-based education.

Candidates for the Assistant Director Emergency Department should have a Bachelor's degree in nursing (Master’s preferred), 3-5 years of clinical/leadership experience in emergency care, and a valid NJ nursing license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
