MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Minority Business Enterprise/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) Compliance Officer (DOT Executive Assistant I) within the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
The MBE/DBE Compliance Officer is responsible for monitoring and assessing contract compliance for MBE/DBE participation and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation as it relates to monitoring and enforcement. MBE/DBE contracts include concession, construction, Architectural & Engineering (A&E), service, and maintenance contracts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Representing MDOT MAA at various business conferences, trade fairs, and other outreach events;
- Assisting in the preparation of various Data Compliance Reports and monitoring contractor payments in MDOT MAA’s compliance management system on all contracts.
- Monitoring 40-50 contracts as needed at various stages of contract development through closeout.
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in administrative or professional work. **Four years of this experience must have involved procurement, contract compliance, or related fields.One (1) year of this experience must have included monitoring compliance with small and/or minority business participation requirements related to MBE participation, reviewing procedures to ensure compliance, performing audits, resolving contract issues, and preparing written reports.
*This statement contains a Selective Qualification, which is more focused in scope than the Minimum Qualifications for this classification. Selective Qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skills, or abilities).
