Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking Research Assistant for NJMS- Surgery. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant performs research activities and work requiring application of standard research techniques and procedures. The research scholar (temporary) will participate in patient data from the electronic medical record system, EPIC, PACS and Penrad. Among the key duties of this position are the following: As directed, performs various research and technical operations relative to the ongoing investigatory activities of the Principal Investigator and ongoing studies and project. Participates in the evaluation of existing procedures suggesting revisions where necessary, and proposing new procedures where required. Perform patient chart reviews. Enter data into RedCap or excel spreadsheets. Download images from PACS for analysis by AI. Assist with hospital quality studies. Keeps detailed records of the studies and projects

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	High school diploma is required, Bachelor preferred. College courses in IT helpful. Familiarity with RedCap, Excel, Word, and other common programs is helpful. Interest in healthcare with knowledge of terminology is helpful. Prior research experience is an asset but not required.
