Mechanical Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
As a facilities manager, you understand that relationship-building and keen attention to detail are crucial when overseeing the life cycle of a project. As an experienced facilities professional at Booz Allen, you can use your client engagement skills to impact projects that will support National Security. We need someone like you who is eager to work on complex projects that will protect some of our most critical national assets.
On our team, you’ll manage challenging projects for sensitive missions from beginning to end while collaborating with senior leadership. Using computer-related facilities management software and your problem-solving skills, you’ll oversee a team to develop creative solutions for mission-critical projects in National Security.
In this role, you’ll closely impact National Security by managing and developing strategies specific to critical infrastructure. With mentoring, exposure to challenging projects, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You’ll Work On:
Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards and design and space criteria and usage through space utilization studies and forecasts for clients in National Security.
Lead analyses and solution development for facility planning and management for critical infrastructure.
Perform complex activities as related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization.
Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility.
Advise National Security clients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated portfolio, facility, or individual space requirements.
Recommend planning, design, and construction standards or milestones.

You Have:??
Experience with designing, engineering, and building mechanical systems
Experience with mechanical specifications and shop drawing review
Experience with HVAC and plumbing engineering and design
Experience with mechanical and plumbing construction and project management
Experience with performing quality control on licensed mechanical engineering drawings
Knowledge of construction quality control
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Nice If You Have:??
Experience with MAXIMO
Experience with new and existing building systems
Experience with site surveys and calculations
Knowledge of the ASHRAE standards, International Building Code, and pertinent NFPA publications related to mechanical systems
Knowledge of the CAD systems, AutoCAD, or REVIT
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
LEED Certification
Professional Engineer (PE) License
EIT Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
