This position will have two primary objectives: First, this individual will be responsible for the efficient operation of the parts warehouse to include responsibility for receiving stocking issuing and control of materials and providing support to production as needed in a timely manner. Second, this individual is responsible for overseeing Allocations of backordered ARP & REP requests; and the dispatching of Waiting Approval Repairs and the issuing of Core units to production. This position will provide operational and logistical support and control inventory assets (a total value of approximately $13.0million) by establishing and enforcing existing policies and procedures.
- This position will manage and train personnel in all aspects of the inventory control and allocation/dispatching responsibilities.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure an efficient and productive operation that meets the requirements of order fulfilment both internally & externally across all shifts (day evening Saturday).
- Must ensure timely fulfilment of Parts 10- & 30-minute requests Supplies and Tools & Jigs.
- Must ensure timely fulfilment of Parts orders to 18 Service Centre's OLA OCI. Must ensure timely fulfilment for the issuing of backorders to Production floor.
- Must ensure appropriate and timely fulfilment of khan-ban locations throughout the Shop floor across all shifts (day/evening/Saturday).
- Must ensure appropriate and timely dispatching of core's to BTS requests and Customer repairs from Waiting Approval VLM to the production floor.
- Provide leadership to department personnel by directing them in prioritizing activities and achieving MBO and daily targets.
- Manage the cycle counting program by executing timely cycle counting reconciliations and any necessary resolution to areas of weakness that are identified in order to meet accuracy goals.
- Any necessary resolution in the areas of: JD Edwards MPRG Production Control System expense issuing and VLM system.
- Work closely with Customer Solutions and Production to allocate and expedite repairs. Ensure that all orders are shipped on a daily basis.
- Work closely with Customer Solutions & Quality Assurance to process and complete Credit returns back into stock for availability.
- Develop effective operational and logistical policies and procedures for department as necessary.
- Continuously re-evaluate the parts storage department layout & equipment for efficiency improvements. Provide support for identifying & implementing such improvements.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor all warehousing equipment for safety and ergonomic related concerns. Provide reports as necessary detailing department performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory-related operational experience in the areas of logistics operations inventory and/or customer service.
- Must have user's knowledge of system software, preferably JD Edwards, and the aptitude to learn new software systems.
- Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 35lbs.
- Ability to frequently push/pull up to 35lbs.

- Must be very detail oriented have excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability of succeeding in a matrix management environment.
- Must have a positive attitude with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $74,999.00 - $101,249.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
