The Assistant Coach is responsible for fulfilling all duties associated with successful coaching at the college level.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to be a positive role model and representative of the university. This position requires the ability to travel extensively on both weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities include:
Organize and administer the softball program
Schedule, attend, and direct team practices
Demonstrate and coach high level advanced softball skills
Recruit with a commitment to diversity and inclusion
Prepare scouting reports
Oversee ARMS recruiting software related to CARA
Develop student-athletes including academics and leadership
Assist the head coach with revenue generation and community engagement
Assist with fundraising
Promote programs through social media
Conduct camps and clinics for scholarships
Supervise student managers
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to be a positive role model and representative of the university.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Previous college playing or coaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous college pitching or coaching experience
Use of technology used in softball practices and games
Special Instructions
This is a full-time, salaried, 12-month position with full benefits. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience with additional income possible by conducting mandatory summer camps.
