Job Abstract

Job Overview:

Surgical Physician Assistant, Per Diem. The candidate will be a critical member of the surgical team, caring for patients with surgical problems/needs, and related surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Board certified or Board eligible surgeon, Credentialed RNFA or Physician Assistant
• Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification BLS, required
• Possess a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS, required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Scheduling:

• Per Diem
• Day Shift

Essential Functions:

• Evaluating and managing patients with surgical diseases
• Performing bed side procedures when appropriate
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room
• Ensure continuum of care between the inpatient and outpatient areas
• Will be required to be on-call, during the evenings/nights/weekends and holidays on rotation
• The successful candidate will function in full compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care
• Perioperative preparation and postoperative clinical management will be conducted in collaboration with the attending physician and other health care professionals
• Experience with surgical patients is highly preferred
• Experience with Robotics is preferred but is not the deciding factor
