FreshDirect is looking for a full-time Content Creator (3-6 month CONTRACT) to take the brands digital storytelling to the next level across social platforms and beyond. We are seeking a creative person who loves food, is plugged into trends, and gets excited to tell stories through video. This role is ideal for you if you thrive in a dynamic team-based environment and are passionate about changing our food system for the better.
You will have the opportunity to work with us in our state-of-the-art HQ in NYC which includes our test kitchen, R&D chef, and photo/video studio. You will get the opportunity to help us reimagine our iconic, beloved brand for native digital and social channels.
The content creator will be responsible for creating iPhone-first videos and images for use across social, web, and major platforms. You will be well versed in all touchpoints of content creation: conception, storyboarding, execution, livestreaming, editing, and publishing. You will work closely with our Director of Marketing and as a partner to our Creative Director to develop thumb-stopping content that maximizes our reach and engagement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to create compelling native video content based for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.
- Develop creative concepts and storyboard ideas for video content that drives our content strategy across channels to improve engagement in organic and drive paid performance
- Brainstorm innovative and captivating video series, tutorials, recipes, and other engaging formats to promote brand visibility and engagement.
- Assisting and participating in photoshoots: videography, BTS footage, etc.
- Image editing tasks, such as cropping, resizing, retouching, and color adjustments, to enhance the visual appeal of designs across both print and digital collateral.
- Coordinate video shoots including location scouting and equipment setup.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.
- Nimbleness and adaptability to real time changes while capturing footage.
- Support the marketing team in the development and design of digital assets including email, social graphics, and digital advertisements.
- Ensuring and maintaining visual brand consistency across all design projects such as internal/external decks and presentations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience as a social media content creator with a stellar portfolio showcasing your creativity and content prowess, preferably within the food sector.
- Tech Proficiency: Mastery of editing software like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Figma, Canva, etc. Most editing will be done through CapCut, but the software choice is flexible.
- Storytelling Savvy: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for storytelling across diverse platforms and audiences.
- Excited by the opportunity to experiment with creating new types of content.
- Savviness to social trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Enthusiastic self-starter
- Organized and detail oriented.
