Job Abstract

* At least 5 years of experience working on and planning successful fundraising events; ideal candidates have at least two consecutive years of strategic leadership on events at the same organization and event(s) * At least 3 years of experience in individual donor cultivation/stewardship * At least 2 years of experience in direct supervision or management role required * The ideal candidate can start the role with the expertise and experience necessary for at least 75% of the job description, and we anticipate providing coaching and professional development to grow in capacity over time * A commitment to public education and alignment with Gateway’s mission and values, as well as creating an anti-racist community for students and families * Responsible self-starter, able to work independently and with curiosity * Experience using databases, preferably Salesforce * Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines * Excellent written communication skills, and comfort with public speaking * Technical savvy and curious with a variety of office technologies (e.g., Google Suite, Zoom) * Ability to foster and maintain working relationships built on mutual trust and respect with parents, students, trustees, donors, alumni, and staff * Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and accept new challenges
