Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assess and determine the acceptance, modification, or rejection of insurance policy applications and sales requests. Monitor and evaluate exposure changes throughout the policy term.
Analyze, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing for new applications, renewals, and policy amendments, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards.
Oversee a portfolio of agencies, including recruitment, growth strategies, and profit optimization. Assess agency performance based on various factors like personnel, business diversity, and profitability.
Drive new business acquisition and retention through persuasive presentations to agencies and clients.
Develop and manage business activities within a designated territory, focusing on achieving profitability, sales growth, and superior customer service.
Set and attain sales targets, including premium and loss ratio goals, through effective budget planning and forecasting.
Cultivate existing and potential client relationships through regular agency visits and strategic engagement efforts.
Exercise decision-making authority within established guidelines, seeking exceptions when warranted by data analysis.
Monitor and respond to changes in client operations and financial status to ensure appropriate action is taken.
Foster profitable business relationships by implementing effective marketing, sales, and service strategies.
Promote claims, risk control, and premium audit services to both current and prospective clients.
Stay abreast of corporate, regulatory, and competitive developments within relevant business lines.

Qualifications:
Field Underwriting - Construction background essential
Underwriting New & Renewal Business - Assess pricing and grasp commercial lines policies and coverage nuances
Analyzing & Managing Exposures - Craft strategies to oversee risks and adapt to changes throughout policy terms
Agency Management - Drive growth, prospect, appoint, and optimize opportunities and obligations
External Sales - Foster new business while showcasing customer retention via engaging presentations to agencies and clients
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
