Job Abstract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairs and services (includes testing) fire hydrants;
• Locates underground utilities using maps, rods, and electronic equipment;
• Assists in preventative maintenance on water and sewer lines;
• Reads water meters, entering data into portable handheld meter reading devices;
• Checks meters for leaks, repairs as needed;
• Installs and removes meters;
• Assists in repairs of water and sewer lines;
• Inspects lift stations and assists with preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, and equipment;
• Other duties as assigned.

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
• Some related experience in the construction/plumbing industry is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to obtain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement within 9 months of start date
