Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager, Laboratory Education and Pipeline Development.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of laboratory education and recruitment operations that support the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratories. In collaboration with Senior Laboratory leadership, formulates and establishes an integrated program to support and enhance laboratory workforce pipeline strategy across the health system.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Directly manages NYULH relationship for all external partner affiliation schools, including organizing internship intake and campus placement for rotating students in all applicable labs. Attends advisory committee meetings for the various schools. Participates in onsite visits at NYULH with the program coordinators. Manages NTV process to ensure all students are onboarded efficiently in each of our laboratories. Manages all clinical affiliation legal agreements in conjunction with legal.
2. Ensures each laboratory section has a standard education program for student training. Reviews requirements from each school to ensure all required elements from each affiliation is integrated into the curriculum.
3. Establishes, monitors, and standardizes training and competency for students. Coordinates adequate guidance for students related to professionalism and technical practice.
4. Coordinates training opportunities for students with pathologists as necessary.
5. Laboratory Workforce Pipeline: Directly oversees the Clinical Lab Technologist Career Pathway Program. Establishes a framework for career ladder growth in the laboratory. Directly develops and manages an in-house laboratory training program.
6. Directly partners with HR teams to develop and coordinate external workforce pipeline opportunities, this includes integration and partnership with HR and nearby high schools and colleges.
7. Directly partners with HR teams to establish and maintaining internal workforce pipeline opportunities, this includes continues in house laboratory outreach knowledge programs and activities including but not limited to noon-time knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, laboratory sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years laboratory related work experience..
Preferred Licenses: Clinical Lab Technologist-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in public health, laboratory sciences or a related field. 7-8 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting. NYS Clinical Laboratory Licensure. ASCP Certification.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $140,000 - $160,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
