Burson is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Account Executive, within our expanding U.S. Technology Practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that supports a global client through various tasks such as writing diverse materials, developing, and managing media lists, maintaining project trackers, providing media monitoring and coverage reports, pitching, and addressing a wide range of client needs.
Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and skillful writer who can manage deadlines for multiple clients while still creating quality work. We’re looking for a solution-oriented team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Serve as a key team member on multiple workstreams for a large, global account, managing multiple projects
- Develop media materials (press releases, pitch emails, reporter backgrounders, messaging points)
- Develop targeted media lists, pitch press, and learn/follow clients' priority media: top-tier, consumer, social influencers
- Track and analyze media hits and campaign results against KPIs
- Develop deep knowledge of client industry and contribute to the development of strategic client plans
- Participate in client meetings and/or teleconferences, accurately capture meeting notes, and next steps
What you’ll need to get here:
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related major
- At least 1-3 years of PR experience; agency experience required
- Experience in technology sector is a plus
- Experience in media relations, such as building media lists, pitching angle development, coordinating product reviews, drafting pitches, and conducting outreach
- Strong writing, media, and research skills
- Highly detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills
- Results-focused approach and willingness to go the extra mile for clients
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $90,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
