JOB SUMMARY:
The AVP of Data and Analytics (AVPDA) will be responsible for data and analytics vision, strategy, and operations at LifeBridge Health (LBH). The AVPDA will lead, develop, and oversee LBH’s data and analytics program, establishing a strategy and roadmap that aligns enterprise data and analytics capabilities with LBH’s mission, strategy, and objectives. The AVPDA will be involved in key LBH executive leadership team work, participating in and driving enterprise-wide decision-making and strategy development by enabling high-quality, timely, and accessible insights and analytics. The AVPDA role will also be highly collaborative, partnering with key stakeholders to understand and meet information needs across LBH The AVP will also ensure efficient and aligned data governance; effective deployment of analytics resources, tools, and models; and appropriate application of advanced analytics techniques (e.g., natural language processing, machine learning, and AI).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversees the enterprise data and analytics program. In addition directly manages span of control over all centralized analytics resources in the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) and indirect partnership with IS AVP over the data resources in Analytics Infrastructure Management (AIM) team.
Leads, mentors, and oversees ACE directly, and AIM in partnership to fulfill the needs of the organization, facilitating skills development, service delivery, and customer relationships across LBH
Develops enterprise data and analytics vision, strategy, and roadmaps to embed analytics across the organization and drive consumer experience transformation, clinical/operational workflows, strategic growth, research, and value-based performance
Champions a data-driven enterprise, driving cultural change and expectations of effective data and analytics use in decisions across the organization through owning specific governing committees such as Reporting & Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
Collaborates with senior leaders, offering expert consultation on all enterprise-level data-related initiatives including service deployment, personnel recruiting, skills/data literacy training, technology development, and application of analytics within the business
Serves as an active member of executive decision-making bodies, ensuring continuity between leadership vision/strategy and data and analytics operations
Drives collaboration between the analytics program and other LBH departments/business units, promoting and establishing the value of the analytics program to the enterprise
Helps establish responsibilities and expectations for data and analytics resources in distributed areas outside of ACE and AIM, ensuring a uniform level of service throughout the organization while enabling operational agility
Acts as a key leader and sponsor in enterprise data governance efforts, including the definition of key data elements, collaboration with operational data stewards to ensure data quality, and driving expectations of data trust and integrity throughout the organization
Maintains a broad view of enterprise data assets and needs, strategically developing data and analytics capabilities that are needed to support ongoing needs
Oversees the maintenance and refinement of data and analytics infrastructure to support and achieve operational business goals and targets
Participates actively in the development and optimization of major data source systems to maximize data and analytics fidelity, collaborating closely with IS teams
Develops proactively and maintains self-service capabilities across the organization, as well as ensuring effective use of those capabilities by business and operational customers
Fosters technological innovation, leveraging emerging analytics technologies to drive novel insights and enable more sophisticated means of data-based decision-making in service of strategic, clinical, financial, and operational improvements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, finance, computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, actuarial sciences, economic sciences, analytics, or related field
Preferred/optional:Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, MBA, ASA, or a PhD in a health-related field
Minimum 5-10 years of leadership experience with recent executive-level position and at least three (3) years of progressive healthcare analytics experience
Preferred/Optional Experience:
Five (5) years of leadership experience in health system analytics and management roles, preferably in organizations encompassing hospitals, clinics, medical group practices, health plans, and research
Track record of innovative, forward-thinking with competencies in strategy and leadership, strong skills in communication and relationship management, and a demonstrated ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams
Experience with modern analytic platforms and tools such as Tableau and Business Objects. Experience with Cerner preferred
Deep knowledge of using analytics for driving health system care delivery or health plan entity performance, including leveraging value-based care modeling and predictive analytics
