Job Summary
Videotapes all practices and home/away games and provides video for game analysis, scouting and instructional training purposes. Creates highlight and recruitment videos. Coordinates non-conference and conference film exchange in accordance with established guidelines. Assist with camps and clinics as assigned. Assists in training student video assistants. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
Ability to lift, transport and set up video equipment and run cables.
Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a college/university athletics department.
Experience as a coach, student team manager, graduate assistant or intern, working with men’s or women’s basketball.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge and skill in the use of video technology and equipment, including digital editing, production and post-production editing, graphics, and photo software. Proficient in use of SportsCode software.
Understanding of the sport of basketball and basketball terminology in order to video tape and edit correct footage and game situations.
Excellent interpersonal skills, “Customer Focus” attitude, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community and in cooperation with other team members to achieve Cleveland State University (CSU) goals and objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
