We are building a team to drive analytics innovation across AIG’s business, technology and data architecture in the mission of becoming a data enabled organization. To accomplish this, we are sourcing leading edge technologies and partnerships and by fostering collaboration across our end-to-end value chain, business partners and clients.
About the role
As an Analytics Product Lead you will be responsible for driving best in class data engineering by designing, building and maintaining cloud native big data solutions. You will lead a team of data engineers and managers as well as drive solutions as a principal data engineer.
You will:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and find innovative data solutions
Be responsible for overseeing the delivery and ongoing maintenance of solutions that continually deliver business value
Work closely with data architects and senior engineers to implement sustainable best practices and technical design
Work with analytics, application development and data science teams
Implement rigorous standards and documentation for software development and code management, and design requirements that provide quality work on fast paced schedules
Manage and prioritize project timelines and deliverables, work with external dependencies, and communicate with stakeholders
Share knowledge and best practice across the enterprise
Attract and develop a world class team of data engineers / managers
Collaborate with external and internal data engineering teams
About you
You are passionate about driving change and delivering value. You bring data curation and programming skills with a track record of creating solutions that enable analytics innovation and decision insights.
You have:
8+ years in technology / programming / application delivery / tool design and development
3+ years in financial services or insurance industry preferred
Master’s degree computer science, software engineering or equivalent demonstration of advanced technical abilities
Excellent programming skills PySpark, R, Spark SQL, Java, JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Kubernetes and ElasticSearch
Experience deploying, maintaining and monitoring inference models is a plus
Experience with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, AWS SageMaker is a plus
Experience with code versioning processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $82,000-$116,000. For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $86,000-$121,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
