Noble Corporation is hiring for a Technical Superintendent – Projects & Electrical Marine Systems to work a hybrid schedule at our corporate office. Support the safe and effective execution of marine technical project working with Noble marine technical services, project department and offshore maintenance personnel as related to DP Systems, Power Generation, Thrusters, Marine Electrical Systems and Environmental Systems. Ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE policies and guidelines. Assist Project Team, work closely with corporate and regional maintenance teams to establish, and support project initiatives. Provide in-house expertise and assistance to rig maintenance crews in project execution efforts of DP and marine systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure all projects are in accordance with Company safety policy and best practices.
Assist in project management according to Noble Project Management Manual and other standard such as PMI.
Assist in technical projects within the marine electric / automation sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Provide technical expertise and supervision for upgrades and repair work on marine electrical equipment, control systems, and related technology.
Assist the project department in planning, budgeting, and executing of marine electrical system projects.
Inform management of system upgrades or limitations affecting the safe operation of rig equipment to minimize downtime.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), vendor site visits & evaluations, and equipment construction and repair surveillance as directed.
Provide technical consultation for rig shipyard / upgrade projects (SPS / OOS) and marine system start-up / commissioning, and decarbonization technology development.
Meet with outside vendors to investigate failures, research upgrades, develop repair, maintenance procedures / protocols, and service agreement.
Liaise with project, technical and operation departments and define obsolescence, upgrade options and related marine project scope of work.
Support projects through technical drawing and documentation review, factory acceptance testing, and supplier quality/technical competency audits.
Develops and implements major repair methods and procedures in conjunction with the Marine Technical Services team.
Consult engineering department regarding upgrades to machinery and equipment to ensure modifications, proper testing, and repair standards are maintained.
Work closely and maintain good relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure the project runs smoothly.
Keep abreast of equipment costs and obtain equipment quotes as required; conduct and calculate Cost Benefit Analysis and Return on Investment financial documents as required.
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting of Automation, Power & DP Systems for floater and jack-up fleet when required.
Interface with all departments in the performance of job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Electronic / Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in technical support function including minimum 5 years of experience in marine technical project management with a focus on marine systems, electrical systems, and DP (Dynamic Positioning) control systems.
As an alternative, a Chief Electrical or Electronics Technician Trade School Diploma with 15 years progressive experience and responsibility in electronic / electrical control, networks, and instrumentation systems specific to DP (Dynamic Positioning), power generation, power distribution, power electronics, power management system and marine operations.
10 or more years’ experience with DP2 and 3 rig control systems specific to DP FMEA and Kongsberg or GE power management system with 11KV split and/or closed bus operations.
Assist in the planning and execution of technical projects, including maintenance and upgrades of marine systems. Work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Participate in the development of project proposals, schedules, and budgets.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Power Generation, Power Distribution including HV Switchboard, Transformer, UPS and Power Management Systems.
Knowledge and experience of Marine DP, Control System Interfaces, and Marine Electronics.
Knowledge of Marine deck machineries, safety & environmental systems and BWTS (Ballast Water Treatment System.
Knowledge and experience of Marine Power Electronics System such as HV VFD.
Knowledge of vessel management (VMS) and Fire and Gas detection systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as IEC, IEEE, API, IMO, SOLAS, and class regulations (e.g., ABS, DNV).
Familiarity with FMEA concepts and their inter-relationship with operational, Class and Flag requirements.
Certifications:
PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Familiarity with actual drilling rig or marine offshore operations.
Innovative and a proven problem solver.
Good leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to direct project, maintenance personnel and support organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively coordinating with teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Indirect: Technical Section Leader and Technical Supervisors.
