Job Abstract

The Bureau of Human Services Licensing is looking for a Licensing Representative to conduct inspections and investigations of personal care homes and assisted living residences. This position comes with a high degree of independence and discretion, as assigned and in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures to determine compliance. As part of the Bureau of Human Services Licensing in the Office of Long-Term Living, you will be conducting inspections for the purpose of enforcing state laws and regulations governing the licensing of personal care homes and assisted living residences to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of personal care home and assisted living residence clients. Some of the duties include conducting inspections of facilities to ensure regulations are being met, conducting investigations, identifying violations, and reviewing these violations with the facility staff. You will be traveling in the Northwest Region (Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Venango, Warren and Westmoreland counties) to oversee the licensing requirements of personal care homes and assisted living residences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, home headquartered.
• Travel is required throughout the Northwest Region (Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Venango, Warren and Westmoreland counties).
• Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
