TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of the needs of the elderly, such as mobility limitations, sensory impairment and cognitive loss.
Sensitivity to the activities and educational needs of various ethnic groups is essential.
Familiarity with basic recreation equipment.
Good attention to detail with time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives.
Basic computer knowledge such as word processing, presentation, and email software preferably Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently as well as be part of the team, while accomplishing multiple tasks under varied conditions.
Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard/straightforward problems.
Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI).
