Ensures NGN designs and implementations are robust and adhere to cybersecurity best practices. Advanced Network Security Engineering in NGN Environment: Directs the development and implementation of advanced security measures throughout the University's IT infrastructure. Concentrates on crafting robust, scalable, and secure solutions to guard against evolving cyber threats. Utilizes expertise in security technologies, such as Software Defined Networks (SDNs), advanced SDN segmentation technologies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Integrates these technologies into the NGN project, enhancing the overall security posture while maintaining network performance and user accessibility. Uses programming and scripting expertise to develop and automate custom security solutions, focusing on innovative security measures for enhanced network security and efficiency. Data-Driven Security Strategy: Leads a data-driven approach to cybersecurity, leveraging analytics to inform decisions and strategies. Expert knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. 1. Actively develop solutions to detect and prevent network intrusions. 2. Serve as lead for moderately complex risk assessments. 3. Manage the development and implementation of actions plans. 4. Oversee the periodic assessment of systems. 5. Participate in the development of program control processes to ensure risk mitigation. 6. Develop and deliver information security training material. 7. Provide guidance to and may supervise level 1-3 analysts. 8. Research the latest information security trends and emerging threats. Bachelor's Degree and seven years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
