Responsibilities

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Director of the SBYSP and Youth Development Specialist to develop and provide preventive activities. The school youth development specialist will provide job coaching services, resume and academic support.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain productive relationships with parents and other staff members

• Maintain records of student's files using Connex

• Maintain professional competence and pursue continuous improvement through in-service education and other professional growth activities.

• Make effective use of community engagement during summer hours

• Prepare and plan for the 2024-2025 school year

• Assume other related duties/assignments assigned by the School Based Youth Services Director or the Director of Special Services.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Grade and progress monitoring;

• Connecting students with community job prospects;

• Mentorship/ Leadership;

• Academic Coaching

• Set up student profiles in NJCan

Compensation
$46 per hour, as per HEA Contract
Not to exceed 20 hours
