This position is specific to our Lucknow-Highspire Terminals LLC (LHT) business. The Health, Safety and Security Specialist's duties will focus on maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and Coast Guard regulations at LHT's locations. Activities will include the implementation and oversight of the safety program, coordination of employee training and drills, and management of numerous plans based on applicable regulations. Maintain a working knowledge of both new and existing regulations through the review of periodicals, seminar attendance, and the use of consultants. Implement injury reporting for the purpose of investigation and reduction of injuries. Maintain an emergency evacuation program in the event of fire, explosion, etc. Act as primary 24-hour emergency coordinator for onsite events involving the fire department and/or emergency management agency. Identify potential causes for accidents and recommend changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illness. Investigate accidents and prepares accident reports. Experience & Education:Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education . years in a Health & Safety role. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with regulators, managers, and cross-functional teams across the organization.
