About the Job: As a Veterinary Assistant in Urgent Care you will be responsible for:
Triaging patients
Obtaining and reporting vitals, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if needed
Recognize changes in patient status and report to doctor
Utilizing different imaging modalities (radiographs,ultrasound)
Administer and monitor patients for anesthetic/sedation procedures
Compensation range: $18.42 - $23.53 hourly. Compensation is based on experience and education.

Document conversations between clients and the attending doctor.
Handle miscellaneous prescriptions requests, client callbacks, labwork entries etc.
About You:
High school diploma or equivalent required; candidates from vocational co-op programs also considered
Knowledge and practical application of basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required
2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required. Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or students in the field will be considered first.
