Job Summary
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Program Coordinator will provide teambuilding, training, oversight and leadership to the AmeriCorps Neighbor2 Neighbor Program Partner Sites and members. It is the responsibility of the Program Coordinator to independently plan, organize and perform a wide variety of specialized administrative and program oversight in support of the successful completion of work scope goals and deliverables for grant-funded projects. The Program Coordinator will work with local AmeriCorps members and supervisors to ensure all aspects of the program are properly implemented. The Program Coordinator supports partner site and member recruitment, provides oversight of the program for both members and partner site supervisors, National Service Day planning and implementation, and works with and represents the program to schools, outside agencies, stakeholders and constituents as needed. This position is anticipated to be primarily stationed in the NCOE Research & Professional Development Center in Petaluma, CA, with some required trainings and meetings in the NCOE-Napa office. Occasional travel in local regions. This position is supervised by the National Service Program Manager.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years work experience involving program development and coordination, study, analysis, and implementation of projects in the field of human services and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in working with and building relationships with high level personnel at key school, nonprofit, and public agencies.
• Experience in AmeriCorps, Peace Corps or other national or volunteer service program preferred
• Skilled in group facilitation, conflict management, training, public speaking and recruitment is highly valued.
• CDL and NCOE driving clearance required
