Job Abstract

An Environmental Service Worker position in Newark, NJ is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this role, you will keep patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and in anorderly condition. This is a temp-hire position starting in August 2024. The hours are Monday-Friday from either 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm. The hourly pay rage is $21.06/hr. You must be COVID vaccinated to be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Keeps patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and in anorderly condition.

Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, showers, laboratories, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other areas as assigned using approved cleaners and hospital approved germicide.

Keeps utility and storage rooms in neat orderly condition.

Transport trash and waste to disposal area.

Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using required products and equipment.

Stock custodial closet with cleaning supplies, paper products and plastic linens.

Qualifications:

Cleaning experience highly preferred

Good work history and attendance

Work Environment:

Position requires exposure to blood-borne pathogens that require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), exposure to dust, fumes or airborne particles, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Pay Details: $21.06 per hour
