Job Abstract

The position will be working with the Post University Accounting team. Position will be tasked with performing reconciliations on various general ledger accounts, researching variances that arise monthly, and supporting the Accounting team in booking entries for their closing processes. Position has significant involvement with accounting personnel- very "hands-on" and must be able to work with little guidance and support. Position is not eligible for remote work, must be in office and available... more details minimum of 10 hours a week. Position will report to Accounting Manager. Location: Post University Main Campus. Supervisor John Fair, Controller. Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Account Reconciliations, including but not limited to: Cash Accounts. Receivable Accounts. Fixed Asset Accounts. Liability and Accrual Accounts. Researching variances between Actual/ Budget/ Prior Year. Closing Process Entries. Preparing and running various management reports. Other Duties as Assigned. Minimum Skills, Training and Attributes. Candidate must be working towards a BS or MS degree in Accounting and/or Finance. Must be a current enrolled student at Post University. Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to clearly communicate the outcome to peers. Understanding and familiarity with various financial statement preparation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (use of Excel and PowerPoint is essential) and ability to master data access in ERP systems. Ability to collect the appropriate data from different functions within the organization Ability to work under time pressure, manage multiple projects at the same time, and to prioritize the work appropriately This opportunity is open to Post Unversity students only.
