Organic Coating Technician, Sylmar, CA
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00
Shift: 2nd
As an Organic Coating Technician, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!
Primary Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production
- Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
- Consistently prepare substrate surfaces for coatings applications to appropriate levels of quality.
- Perform unsupervised organic coating equipment set-up, daily TPM checklists, cleaning, spare parts inventory, organic coating procedures, and clean room protocol.
- Develop a fundamental understating of the transparency coatings industry.
- Must strive to maintain efficient team dynamics and harmony.
- Actively reduce rework and scrap while increasing first pass yield.
- Follow all coatings and PPG procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Ability to Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prior experience in organic coatings is a plus.
- Prior experience in material handling of Aerospace transparencies is a plus.
