Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Planner who will be responsible for developing and managing detailed production schedules to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing material availability, and optimizing production processes to meet customer demands and production targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Detailed Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to optimally utilize production capacity to fulfill customer orders.
- Ensure daily and weekly production schedules are feasible and aligned with production capabilities.
Material Planning:
- Ensure the timely availability of materials and components required for production.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to monitor material availability and address any shortages or delays.
Production Monitoring:
- Track production progress and ensure that production activities are on schedule.
- Identify and resolve any issues that could impact production timelines or quality.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure clear communication of production schedules and priorities.
- Facilitate regular meetings with relevant stakeholders to review production plans and address any issues.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production status, schedule adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD.
- Utilize Oracle ERP and other software tools to maintain accurate production records and forecasts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically with wafer fabrication planning is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $104,600 and $137,235. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
