JOB SUMMARY
The HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and generating actions related to discipline/termination of contract and non-contract employees, hearings and appeals, grievances, and compliance reportng within the four instructional divisions.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the process for reviewing disciplinary actions fornon-contract employees by coordinating with campus leaders and HR partners, evaluates documentation, making recommendations, and assisting with the facilitation of employment actions.
Facilitates the file review process, advising and coordinating with campus leaders and HR partners, evaluating documentation, providing guidance on employment actions, and prepping documentation to assist Legal Services.
Advises, collaborates, and trains campus leaders regarding disciplinary actions, policy issues, and general employment issues.
Provides guidance on student bullying investigations and serves as the liaison between principals and the investigations department, and drafts SBEC notifications.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
Collates documentation, audits personnel files, transmits files to central office and appropriate partners for processing, and composes any follow-up or close-out correspondence to finalize employment actions.
Facilitates the grievance process for thedistrict by acting as the liaison between the grievant and the administration, interpreting written complaints and identifying steps required to resolve concerns, ensuring all parties adhere to established timelines, coordinating hearing logistics, and monitoring the timely resolution of complaints.
Coordinates with Legal Services, Board Services, and outside agencies as it relates to TEA appeal hearings by coordinating hearing logistics, compiling and distributing documents and exhibits to hearing examiners, and monitoring the progress and resolution of the case.
Conducts root-cause analysis related to trends observed from feeder pattern disciplinary actions, terminations, and grievance data and presents to senior leadership.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, education, business administration, organizational leadership, or other closely related field from an accredited college or university required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.

Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources.
