Position Summary	Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) reliable and customer-focused Catering Delivery person for our Catering Department. As a Catering Delivery person, you are responsible for ensuring the timely delivery, setup, and tear down of catered functions throughout campus. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to exceptional service and satisfaction of our guests. Responsibilities include: safely delivering food and supplies from our kitchen to designated delivery locations; providing friendly and professional customer service; ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and checking orders prior to departure; maintaining cleanliness of delivery vehicles; and adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards. Gettysburg College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize the effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members. Qualifications	High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and must maintain a current knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws. One to two years of food service and catering experience is highly desired. The successful candidate must be able to communicate orally and in writing, to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals, and to be a team player yet be able to work independently. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds. The schedule will vary and include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Driving is an essential function of this position therefore a valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate must have a favorable driving record as outlined by the College fleet policy.
