BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY

The Marketing and Revenue Cash Accountant conducts and documents moderately complex revenue accounting tasks and projects under general supervision. Analyzes and records accounting transactions related to cash receipts and downstream marketing functions. Collaborates with Production and Revenue Accounting, Marketing Accounting, Treasury, and multiple other internal and external counterparties.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related field; Accounting preferred

EXPERIENCE

Requires 0-3 years of related industry experience in accounting; oil and gas industry experience preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record and accurately account for transactions related to revenue cash receipts
• Interact with multiple remitters regarding payment/bank details
• Analyze and research suspended cash
• Develop an understanding of the principles, theories, and concepts of accounting and apply them to assignments such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data
• Develop an understanding of the downstream marketing environment and functions
• Assist in developing and promoting department efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• SAP PRA/EnergyLink experience preferred
• Allegro/Horizon experience preferred
• Basic Microsoft 365 skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks and manage deadlines
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Oil and Gas Industry experience preferred
