As a Trial Balance Manager, you will have ownership of general ledger related activities within our Global Business Finance Support (GBFS) organization. You will work at PPG’s facility in Cranberry, PA within the Management Accounting team and will report to the Senior Manager Management, Customer Invoicing & Incentive Accounting GBFS.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month end close process, including journal entry review and trial balance submission.
- Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
- Partner with business unit finance to support their requests, understand their needs, and provide exceptional service.
- Maintain compliance with internal control documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors and provide requested data as part of the annual audit.
- Lead and implement process improvements to streamline and simplify operating procedures.
- Participate in special projects and prepare ad-hoc reporting requests, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of 7 years of experience
- Prior management/supervisory experience required
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system preferred
- Outstanding PC skills and Excel knowledge
