Summary: The Truck Driver provides support to the Child Nutrition Services program with specific responsibilities for transporting food, supplies, and/or equipment to designated sites while ensuring the vehicle is in a sanitary and safe operating condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives a delivery lift truck for transporting food and supplies to satellite kitchens.
Loads food items, supplies and/or equipment for preparing items for transport to the assigned location.
Maintains records (e.g. temperature logs, delivery logs, routes, etc.) for providing written support and/or conveying information.
Maintains assigned vehicle (e.g. fueling, cleaning interior, etc.) for ensuring safe operation of vehicle and sanitation of transported food items.
Prepares food items, supplies and/or equipment for transport for meeting health and safety guidelines.
Responds to inquiries from site and central kitchen staff for providing information and/or direction regarding status of deliveries, etc.
Transports food items, supplies and/or equipment for delivering requested items to designated sites.
Unloads food items, supplies and/or equipment for providing requested items at designated sites.
Other Duties:
Other duties as assigned that are related to the functions of the position.
Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency. Food Safety Basics Training completion and a Valid Louisiana Class D Chauffeur's License.

Technological Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in general use of a computer, the use of Email as a form of communication, and other job-specific equipment, software, and/or applications.
