Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Mentor fellow shift members and non-lead forecasters
Give thorough, in-depth map discussions when Weather Center Director is absent or if on an evening shift
Assure the quality of all forecast products (i.e. preserve continuity when able, check for proper wording/spelling/grammar, confirm a professional WeatherLine recording, etc.)
Assure timely issuance of the CWS forecast, both on Weather Information Center (WIC) website and WeatherLine phone recording.
Answer calls into the Weather Center and field basic weather questions (pass on difficult forecast questions or media requests to the Weather Center Director)
Report shift problems or other concerns to Weather Center Director
Work with fellow students to create short-term streaming video forecasts and post to the WIC website
