HCAM offers diverse connection and coordination services for individuals and families across Maryland through various programs. HCAM is seeking a proactive Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator to support the organization’s marketing, community events, and fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for HCAM’s mission and a creative approach to engaging diverse audiences in supporting our work.
The primary responsibilities for this position are:
Execute communications strategies that drive awareness of HCAM’s work in the community.
Participate in development of annual marketing plan and communications strategies in alignment with organization’s strategic plan and annual development goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels, including the website, social media platforms, and print materials.
Manage HCAM brand identity, ensuring consistent voice, tone, and visuals across all external and internal communications.
Communicate compelling stories about HCAM’s impact through digital media, publications, and website.
Support planning and creation of engaging and informative social media content.
Maintain editorial calendar and produce written communications, including email marketing campaigns and blog posts.
Coordinate planning and development of Annual Report showcasing HCAM’s reach and client impact stories during fiscal year.
Coordinate with internal teams to collect program and staff updates, outreach activities, client stories, and photos.
Review and update websites to ensure accuracy of information and escalate needed changes to appropriate staff.
Create engaging community event experiences.
Support planning, execution, and promotion of annual community and fundraising events
Coordinate event logistics, recruit volunteers, and fulfill sponsor benefits to maximize participation and fundraising outcomes.
Coordinate volunteer planning committee(s), including scheduling, engagement in planning activities, and communication.
Engage with partners, businesses, and the communities we serve.
Engage and support peer-to-peer fundraising teams, including ongoing communication and recognition, to meet event revenue goals
Manage in-kind donation and auction item solicitations for annual events and programs
Support maintenance of donor database, including updating donor records and generating reports as needed
Lead internal communications to engage HCAM team members.
Maintain effective relationships with HCAM senior leadership and program managers, providing regular updates on marketing and event activities and seeking input as needed.
Lead internal communications efforts to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities, keeping staff informed and engaged in marketing and event initiatives.
Support all-staff communications for agency-wide initiatives and meetings.
Qualifications
Requirements & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration or related field
2 years’ experience in a related field (Non-Profit) preferred
Excellent planning, time management and decision-making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Windows, and other basic computer functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for HCAM mission and commitment to improving access to healthcare and related services for underserved populations
Travel and some evenings and weekends required
