PROGRAM COORDINATOR
If you’re passionate about public service and making a difference, and have skills related to contracting and grants and working with diverse stakeholders, this is the job for you. The Program Coordinator will support the Alternatives to Incarceration team by leading all contracting efforts, from preparing statements of work for new County services, to leading source selection committees to monitoring contracts. They will also convene stakeholders from the community and justice and health systems for collaborative strategic and program planning, and identify and seek grants to support Alternatives to Incarceration. Experience with community engagement is helpful.
Program Coordinator is a professional management level classification that provides administrative, analytical, planning, and management support for programs, projects, and facilities where substantive administrative, policy and/or technical issues require specialized analysis, recommendation and implementation.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for project implementation and ongoing coordination, management of budgets and contracts, and communication between the stakeholders associated with the Alternatives to Incarceration workplan approved by the Board of Supervisors in May 2023. The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day, management of contracts and grant-related activities and questions. The Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Administrator, Justice System Integration, and partner with all County departments and community stakeholders as required. The incumbent will also convene stakeholders and community partners with diverse viewpoints to define new services and collaboratively develop new statements of work, so strong communication and analytical skills are important. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for preparing reports and information for County leadership, including Board letters and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or certified foreign studies equivalency, AND, Four (4) years of professional experience performing analysis, budget management, program administration, engineering, or closely related work in a program performing planning and analysis; OR a combination of education and/or experience as stated above.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
