What Will Be Your Environment:
This role is located at our Brecksville, Ohio headquarters. The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is an innovative specialty chemical company that produces technologies that improve the quality and performance of our customers' products in the global transportation, industrial, and consumer markets. We are looking to add an Administrative Assistant to our Corporate Technology Team.
What You'll Do:
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for the routine administrative duties described below as well as any others assigned by the Global Directors of R&D. The administrative assistant is expected to take initiative and look for opportunities to assist the management team. The administrative assistant is also expected to effectively enter, collect, analyze, store, and report electronic data as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
What We're Looking For:
- Provide administrative support for the department including word processing, presentation preparation in PowerPoint, database administration in SAP, and calendar maintenance for the management team.
- Utilize SAP system for purchase requisitions, service requisitions, service acceptances, delivery notifications, budget reports, etc.
- Office Logistics
- Work with management to develop new hire orientation schedules and/or visitor itineraries.
- Coordinate office moves of current employees and office preparation for new employees (including phone, laptop, and equipment work orders). This includes fulltime, interns, and contract employees.
- Keep department organizational charts and phone lists updated; maintain information on the proper corporate system and distribute as necessary.
- Revoke access to all Lubrizol systems when an employee leaves Lubrizol.
- Shipping
- Create shipping requests in a timely fashion.
- Search for and print SDSs when necessary.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, teleconferences, travel, and department events (including room set-up, catering and sending out meeting invitations).
- Complete time cards/time allocations in a timely manner & track vacation and sick time for the department.
- Submit facilities work requests using MS InfoPath
- Create/remove mailboxes and distribute mail to the department.
- Order and maintain a stock of supplies for the department.
- Partner across administrative teams to strive for consistency in processes when practical.
- Prepare documents that are complete and comprehensive, containing the critical information that others need.
- Proficiently enter, collect, analyze, store, and report data as necessary.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- SAP Experience
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
- One to three years office/administrative support experience.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in all MS Office Suite programs - especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Effectively communicate (written and oral) with colleagues and internal/external customers.

- Capital budget management
- SharePoint experience
