What You Will Do:
Ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Assist Director with planning, development, evaluation and management of the delivery of services to meet program objectives.
Identify gaps in service and make new programs and services recommendations.
Evaluate daily business processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Compile program reports and statistical data as needed.
Assist in the development of annual goals and targets for above programs and initiatives, monitor progress and outcomes utilizing various reports and other mechanisms.
Compile and maintain statistics on clients/participants; record keeping of individual files as deemed necessary.
Participate in public relations functions to raise community awareness of programs.
Develop and maintain contacts with community stakeholders, funders and peers for joint planning and improved service delivery.
May participate in budget preparation, monitor program budget reports and operate within approved budgets.
Monitor staff performance and provide work directives to ensure successful implementation of program objectives.
Provide supervision to assigned staff.
May recruit, schedule and monitor volunteers and/or selection of staff.
Assist with creating and monitoring schedules, staff time keeping and time off requests.
Confer with client/participant and their families regarding facility activities, policies, and enrollment procedures; conduct individual and group orientation to program expectations.
Refer clients/participants to internal and external sources and/or community resources to supplement services needed.
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Normal office environment;
Occasional travel throughout service area;
Frequent walking, sitting, talking, standing, listening/hearing in working with perspective and current employees and supervisors and managers;
Reading, writing, grasping and finger dexterity needed to manage correspondence, faxing, copying, answering phones, forms/documents, computer, keyboard and personnel files required on a frequent basis;
Tasks require visual perception and discernment;
High degree of concentration for analyzing, interpreting and organizing data;
Organizing and coordinating schedules;
Communicating with the public;
Frequent use of computer and telephone/cell phone;
Occasionally necessary to bend for filing and storing and to reach for files and shelves;
Able to occasionally lift/carry up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
Requirements:
Combination of education and experience normally represented by a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with three to five years relevant work experience, including supervision. Master’s Degree preferred. Experience with reflective practice preferred for working in the specific program.
LSW, PC, LISW, LPCC, Teaching License or licensure eligible preferred.
Must have the ability to relate to a wide variety of people, both professional and volunteers; represent the Site/Corporation to outside organizations and systems.
Ability to supervise clerical and/or professional personnel.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse backgrounds.
Must be well organized, detail oriented, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships depending on site and program needs.
Willingness to work a diverse schedule that may include some evening and weekends.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation for local travel.
