Job Description
The Vice President, Global Operations Finance is a key business partner with Global Operations leadership within the Products & Healthcare Services segment, who helps enable the business segment to achieve their operational and financial goals, works with leadership to identify operational and financial initiatives and tracks the progress of such initiatives. This position is also key in highlighting areas of concern and proposing corrective actions for potential shortfall. The VP, Global Ops Finance leads a staff of financial professionals who are responsible for their segment’s annual budget, financial forecasts and financial analysis including: variance analysis, return on investment analysis for capital expenditure and other projects, trend analysis, tracking of key performance indicators and initiatives, and other ad hoc analysis. They also will provide input to customer Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) responses and quantifies financial implications of significant changes with major customer contracts and new opportunities. This position reports to the SVP, Finance for Products & Healthcare Services.
Job Description:
Lead team to of over 20 (4 direct reports) globally responsible for monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting in support of $8B organization lead by SVP - Global Operations (Distribution, Manufacturing, Kitting, Supply Chain, Inventory & Integrated Business Planning, Procurement, Transportation, Third Party Logistics)
Support development of requests for investment and business cases generated from the Global Operations function, including cash flow modeling and presentations
Development of analysis and reporting to drive actionable insights using platforms like PowerBI
Headcount and Operating Expense approval and tracking for all direct reports of the SVP Global Operations
Support commercial activity through:
Distribution - Development of cost to serve analysis for contract renewals and requests for proposal
Outsourced Logistics – Partner with business on modeling of new opportunities
Products/Kitting – Make/Buy analysis to evaluate new product development and outsourcing opportunities.
Work with Accounting and Business Partners for the generation of standard costs and quality review to ensure all assumptions are up to date and accurate
Contract reviews and approvals for the Global Operations organization
Drive continuous improvement and process development within the Global Operations FP&A team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, required; Master’s Degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), highly preferred.
10+ years of increasing responsibility in Finance roles
Experience managing a global team in a matrixed organization.
Background in manufacturing, understanding of standard cost accounting
Background in distribution and transportation is highly desired
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must have proven corporate financial analysis skills including a knowledge of financial business plans and processes
Ability to influence senior leadership and have the ability to push back when necessary
Proven ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement change
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and implement complex financial projects
Strong ability and experience managing and performing multiple concurrent tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and systems; familiarity with mainframe, client server and web-based computer systems
Ability to plan and coordinate completion of tasks in a multi-deadline environment
Ability to work independently and as a team leader
Ability to lead and direct the work of others – providing coaching and mentoring
