The Sous Chef is responsible for the proper preparation of the planned menu and supervises the kitchen employees. In the absence of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will assume responsibility for the kitchen. Organizes all evening paperwork and posts next days production schedule. Supervises the kitchen staff in all aspects of daily assignments, as required.

What you will bring
Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.
- Minimum two years' experience as a sous chef in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining
- Minimum two years supervisory experience
- Health care food & beverage experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- Formal culinary education strongly preferred
- Prior to beginning work at our community, applicants must complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice (over 18 only).
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
