Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Complete prescription data entry into pharmacy software, under the supervision of a pharmacist, by transcribing prescription data and creating or modifying patient records.
Documentation: Document all process information and data discovery according to operating procedures and utilize knowledge base materials as a foundation for resolving inquiries
Timeliness: Strive to meet and exceed structured performance targets
Communication: Work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality of patient data and proprietary information
Develop a working knowledge of company related security and privacy practices
Contribute to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high level of productivity and error-free work
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred
Familiarity with standard pharmacy concepts, practices and procedures is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
High level of attention to detail is required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Fast and accurate typing skills
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex new software
Ability to work collaboratively with peers
Location/Hours
Full time position, on-site in Pittsburgh (Robinson Twp.)
Flexibility for rotating shifts Monday-Friday 7:30am-9pm, along with rotating Saturday shifts every 8 weeks (9am-5pm)
