Engineer II, Quality Systems
Job Summary/purpose of the position:
To manage the Internal Audit and Corrective Action system and participate in additional activities as related to the Quality Management System.
Essential job functions and responsibilities:
Administer the Corrective action process.
Perform weekly reporting, action plans, follow-ups.
Evaluate compliance of various functions to defined Marotta Controls processes.
Participate in the development of audit plans, audit schedules.
Perform auditing in a team environment or individually.
Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop audit reports and present audit reports to senior management.
Perform follow-up verification audits to assure effectiveness of nay corrective action taken as a result of a finding or an opportunity for improvement (OFI).
Perform as back up to MRB administrator.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
Bachelors degree (ME, EE, or IE is preferred) or equivalent.
It is preferred that the candidate hold or willing to achieve a certified quality auditor (CQA) certificate from ASQ and/or have two (2) years of auditing experience.
3+ years experience in a quality-related function preferred.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Working Knowledge of International Aerospace Quality Standards - AS9100, ISO9001.
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization.
Knowledgeable about manufacturing processes.
Strong computer literacy (with various databases and apps including but not limited to MS Office, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.).
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities including a working knowledge of statistical process control.
Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance, therefore you must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to fluids, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration.
This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners/copier machine, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
Temperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.
Some travel may be expected for this position (up to 10%) if audits are required to be performed on Suppliers/Subcontractors.
