The role of Industrial Custodian is responsible for maintaining general housekeeping of Ellwood Engineered Castings. All areas are to be free from dust, residue, and debris.

What You'll Do:
Perform routine cleaning tasks as assigned including operating the floor sweeper and the use of brooms and shovels to keep the facility floors and walkways free of dirt and debris.
Organize and maintain 5S.
Cleaning of machines, heavy equipment, and all railings wiped down.
Keep up with regular painting of railings.
Communicating and requisitioning of the cleaning supplies.
Maintain general housekeeping and organization.
Perform bi-weekly inspections of all handrails in the facility.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire, Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Must pass minimal physical test and background screening
Candidates must be able to work any shift
Physical effort required by the job includes standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds
Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret, procedures, policies and other written forms of communication
Ability to process and complete written or oral instructions
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner with internal and external customers
Ability to read and interpret work documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality instructions, and other related documents.
Ability to work with others as a team
Licenses or Certifications
If driving is required to complete the essential functions of this position, a valid driver’s license is required
Must satisfactorily complete the Ellwood Engineered Castings Forklift certification training programs
Safety
Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules
Promotes a safety culture and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules,
Safety improvement –Provides for continuous reduction of workplace hazards, risks, employee accidents.
