Job Description
The Renewables - Managing Director Structured Finance - San Fran will:
Originate new relationships with financing parties across the tax equity, debt and cash equity landscape for the company, and serve as the face of the company to many industry participants at conferences and as the senior representative on project financing transactions.
Serve as commercial lead for negotiations with external counterparties on financing transactions and overall transaction lead to drive towards the deal team to financial close.
Own all aspects of the financial models for project financing transactions, across a diversity of transaction structures for utility scale solar and storage projects in the US. While the Structured Finance team has an outstanding team of associates and analysts who perform the vast majority of the financial modeling for our transactions in house, we are explicitly looking for an individual who is deeply experienced in modeling themselves and is willing to and interested in rolling up their sleeves and considering themselves directly accountable for the numbers.
Work with other company leaders to develop market entry, power marketing, value engineering and financing strategies for the company's growing and dynamic pipeline.
Create and lead presentations and other materials for key stakeholders including our Investment Committee, our Board of Directors, and external financing parties.

The Successful Applicant
Will be based in either San Francisco or New York and have:
BA/BS degree (MBA or other relevant Masters degrees welcome).
7-10 years of relevant finance experience required, and at least 8 years of working in the renewable energy industry.
Substantive and demonstrable experience with tax equity structures utilized in the solar industry.
Strong credit, financial analysis, quantitative, and modeling skills.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, accountability, and comfort working independently as needed.
Ability to work well with multiple teams across functions and offices throughout the U.S.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written) and ability to think on feet to defend positions and decisions.
Attention to detail & organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Leadership ability and a passion for providing mentorship, guidance, and training to junior colleagues on the team, including multiple direct reports.
