Compensation includes a base salary of $70,700.00 - $106,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. As an Electrical Engineer II for Cox Automotive, you will perform a variety of complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the development of electric/electronic devices and systems applied to servicing EV batteries.
This position independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives. This level requires developmental experience in a professional position or equivalent graduate-level education. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems. Work is reviewed for application of professional judgment. May oversee or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 14 years’ experience in a related field.
- Schematic capture or PCB design?experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in related discipline strongly desired such as Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering
- Hand soldering experience (PTH and SMT).
- Test Equipment experience (Oscilloscope, Function Gen, Multimeter, etc.).
- Experience with Cadsoft Eagle or Altium Designer
- Knowledge of industry standard board design practices
- (IPC-2221A, UL-840, IEC-60950-1)
- Experience with programming on embedded devices?
- Experience with CAN bus and RS-485
- Experience with Power electronics design
- Experience with mixed signal circuit design
- Experience with Industrial instrumentation
